Hello

I'm Ruth MacGilp. I became a qualified yoga teacher in 2023 after completing 200-hour Hatha Yoga training and professional development in pre-natal and post-natal yoga practice. I teach a 'flow and restore' style which integrates gentle asana sequences with restorative stretches and pranayama techniques to help pregnant students and new parents overcome blockages for the healthy flow of energy and unwind from hectic lives.

Pregnancy Yoga - we offer online session too!

Yoga can be a powerful practice during pregnancy, providing the tools to decrease stress and anxiety and mindfully address physical challenges. This 45 minute restorative and relaxing pre-natal yoga class is designed to connect with the breath, gently stretch tired muscles and open up space in the mind and body. This class is suitable for any trimester of pregnancy after 8-10 weeks. Please consult a medical professional before taking part to ensure your comfort and safety. All equipment will be provided, but feel free to bring your own yoga mat if you'd prefer.

Parent and Baby
Post-natal Yoga

Yoga can be a powerful practice after giving birth, providing the tools to decrease stress, rebuild flexibility and stability, and an opportunity for bonding with your baby. This 45 minute gentle yoga class is suitable for any new parents after the 6-8 week postnatal health check. The class includes fun and safe ways for your baby to take part, as long as the baby can lift their own head (usually around 3 months). Alternatively, babysitting services are available through Little Plaza if you'd prefer to practice on your own. All equipment will be provided, but feel free to bring your own yoga mat if you'd prefer.
