The McRobotFace Robotics Club invites children on an exciting Journey into Robotics, aiming to create a stimulating STEM education environment where they can explore the fascinating world of robotics. The sessions and club will be led by Dr. Derek, who holds a PhD in Robotics Science and has extensive experience in Formula 1 and aerospace.
The VEX 123 robot is perfect for younger children, introducing them to screen-free programming in a fun and accessible way. As they advance, the VEX GO offers a deeper dive into engineering, with added complexity and the ability to reconfigure the robot. The GO Journey covers essential topics like systems engineering, robotic arms, and mobile robotics, providing a comprehensive introduction to the field.
Why join McRobotface robotics club?
The McRobotFace Robotics Club emphasizes the connection between play and real-world applications. We will link our topics to the latest research in Robotics, Formula 1, and Aerospace to create an inspiring environment. Children will learn how a simple powered cart can evolve into an F1 car, how their play relates to aerospace engineering, and how the robots they build connect to cutting-edge research in the field.
Our goal is to encourage kids to engage with educational robots in a fun, regular setting. These robotics learning sessions lay the foundation for the knowledge they'll need before joining the Robotics Club, which can open up exciting possibilities in STEM fields.
The Robotics Group for ages 7-13 will begin on September 7, 2024, and the Junior Group for ages 4-6 will start on August 31.
