Service Description

Yoga can be a powerful practice during pregnancy, providing the tools to decrease stress and anxiety and mindfully address physical challenges. This 45 minute restorative and relaxing pre-natal yoga class is designed to connect with the breath, gently stretch tired muscles and open up space in the mind and body. This class is suitable for any trimester of pregnancy after 8-10 weeks. Please consult a medical professional before taking part to ensure your comfort and safety. All equipment will be provided, but feel free to bring your own yoga mat if you'd prefer. Come and join Emily for a nourishing yoga and mindfulness session in the Little Plaza venue. We will begin with breathing techniques, setting intentions and trying different mudras (symbolic hand gestures) to bring calm and relaxation to your day. We will move through some gentle yoga asanas and finish with a relaxing Savasana. Emily infuses techniques from her yoga therapy training as well as yoga for insomnia and sleep recovery. Expect to feel refreshed and revitalised for the rest of your day. Often the effects will stay with you long after the class, and you may bring these techniques into other areas of your life, off the mat.
